Iniesta officially joined the Emirates Club

The legendary midfielder of Barcelona and the Spanish national team Andres Iniesta is officially presented by the Emirates Club player.
Andres is reported to have signed a contract until the summer of 2024 with an option to extend for another season. Also, the 39-year-old player had an offer from a club from Saudi Arabia.
Iniesta left Vissel Kobe in June, the midfielder agreed to an early termination of the contract with the club. Andres played a farewell match for the Japanese team against Barcelona.
Iniesta spent the majority of his club career at FC Barcelona, where he played from the youth ranks up to the first team. He made his senior debut for Barcelona in 2002 and quickly became an integral part of the team’s midfield. Iniesta was known for his exceptional dribbling skills, close ball control, vision, and ability to create scoring opportunities for his teammates.
During his time at Barcelona, Iniesta achieved numerous successes, including winning multiple La Liga titles, UEFA Champions League titles, and domestic cups. He played a crucial role in Barcelona’s dominant era under manager Pep Guardiola, which is often referred to as the “tiki-taka” era of possession-based football.
Iniesta also had a significant impact on the Spanish national team. He was a key figure in Spain’s golden era, helping the national team win the UEFA European Championship (Euro) in 2008 and 2012, as well as the FIFA World Cup in 2010. In the 2010 World Cup final, Iniesta scored the winning goal in extra time against the Netherlands.
The Spanish midfielder’s contract expires in December 2024, but the player agreed to terminate it early. Andreas’ last match in Japan will be J-League Round 19 vs Sapporo on July 1st.
Iniesta has been performing in Kobe since 2018. The 39-year-old 2010 World Champion has made five appearances for the club in all competitions this season.
Vissel Kobe leads the J-League with a three-point lead over nearest rival Yokohama. In the next match, Iniesta’s team will play against Tokyo on May 27.
Iniesta, 39, has made 673 appearances and scored 57 goals in 16 years in Barcelona, winning the Champions League four times and La Liga nine times.
Emirates Club finished second in Division 1 and qualified for the UAE League. In the first round of the new season of the elite division, the team from Ras Al Khaimah will play with Al Wasl on August 19.
